Zechariah 1 (17 verses in the MT) opens: In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of YHWH to Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying, The middle of the chapter continues: Then said I, O my lord, what these? And the angel that talked with me said to me, I will shew you what these .
