The Book of Ezekiel, Chapter 43יחזקאל 43

וַיּוֹלִכֵ֖נִי אֶל הַשָּׁ֑עַר שַׁ֕עַר אֲשֶׁ֥ר פֹּנֶ֖ה דֶּ֥רֶךְ הַקָּדִֽים

Afterward he brought me to the gate, the gate that looketh toward the east:

וְהִנֵּ֗ה כְּבוֹד֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בָּ֖א מִדֶּ֣רֶךְ הַקָּדִ֑ים וְקוֹל֗וֹ כְּקוֹל֙ מַ֣יִם רַבִּ֔ים וְהָאָ֖רֶץ הֵאִ֥ירָה מִכְּבֹדֽוֹ

And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.

וּכְמַרְאֵ֨ה הַמַּרְאֶ֜ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר רָאִ֗יתִי כַּמַּרְאֶ֤ה אֲשֶׁר רָאִ֨יתִי֙ בְּבֹאִי֙ לְשַׁחֵ֣ת אֶת הָעִ֔יר וּמַרְא֕וֹת כַּמַּרְאֶ֕ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר רָאִ֖יתִי אֶל נְהַר כְּבָ֑ר וָאֶפֹּ֖ל אֶל פָּנָֽי

And according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the visions like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face.

וּכְב֥וֹד יְהוָ֖ה בָּ֣א אֶל הַבָּ֑יִת דֶּ֣רֶךְ שַׁ֔עַר אֲשֶׁ֥ר פָּנָ֖יו דֶּ֥רֶךְ הַקָּדִֽים

And the glory of YHWH came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect toward the east.

וַתִּשָּׂאֵ֣נִי ר֔וּחַ וַתְּבִיאֵ֕נִי אֶל הֶֽחָצֵ֖ר הַפְּנִימִ֑י וְהִנֵּ֛ה מָלֵ֥א כְבוֹד יְהוָ֖ה הַבָּֽיִת

So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of YHWH filled the house.

וָאֶשְׁמַ֛ע מִדַּבֵּ֥ר אֵלַ֖י מֵהַבָּ֑יִת וְאִ֕ישׁ הָיָ֥ה עֹמֵ֖ד אֶצְלִֽי

And I heard speaking to me out of the house; and the man stood by me.

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֗י בֶּן אָדָם֙ אֶת מְק֣וֹם כִּסְאִ֗י וְאֶת מְקוֹם֙ כַּפּ֣וֹת רַגְלַ֔י אֲשֶׁ֧ר אֶשְׁכָּן שָׁ֛ם בְּת֥וֹךְ בְּנֵֽי יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לְעוֹלָ֑ם וְלֹ֣א יְטַמְּא֣וּ ע֣וֹד בֵּֽית יִ֠שְׂרָאֵל שֵׁ֣ם קָדְשִׁ֞י הֵ֤מָּה וּמַלְכֵיהֶם֙ בִּזְנוּתָ֔ם וּבְפִגְרֵ֥י מַלְכֵיהֶ֖ם בָּמוֹתָֽם

And he said to me, Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcases of their kings in their high places.

בְּתִתָּ֨ם סִפָּ֜ם אֶת סִפִּ֗י וּמְזֽוּזָתָם֙ אֵ֣צֶל מְזוּזָתִ֔י וְהַקִּ֖יר בֵּינִ֣י וּבֵֽינֵיהֶ֑ם וְטִמְּא֣וּ אֶת שֵׁ֣ם קָדְשִׁ֗י בְּתֽוֹעֲבוֹתָם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשׂ֔וּ וָאֲכַ֥ל אֹתָ֖ם בְּאַפִּֽי

In their setting of their threshold by my thresholds, and their post by my posts, and the wall between me and them, they have even defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed: wherefore I have consumed them in mine anger.

עַתָּ֞ה יְרַחֲק֧וּ אֶת זְנוּתָ֛ם וּפִגְרֵ֥י מַלְכֵיהֶ֖ם מִמֶּ֑נִּי וְשָׁכַנְתִּ֥י בְתוֹכָ֖ם לְעוֹלָֽם

Now let them put away their whoredom, and the carcases of their kings, far from me, and I will dwell in the midst of them for ever.

אַתָּ֣ה בֶן אָדָ֗ם הַגֵּ֤ד אֶת בֵּֽית יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ אֶת הַבַּ֔יִת וְיִכָּלְמ֖וּ מֵעֲוֺנֽוֹתֵיהֶ֑ם וּמָדְד֖וּ אֶת תָּכְנִֽית

You son of man, shew the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities: and let them measure the pattern.

וְאִֽם נִכְלְמ֞וּ מִכֹּ֣ל אֲשֶׁר עָשׂ֗וּ צוּרַ֣ת הַבַּ֡יִת וּתְכוּנָת֡וֹ וּמוֹצָאָ֡יו וּמוֹבָאָ֣יו וְֽכָל צֽוּרֹתָ֡ו וְאֵ֣ת כָּל חֻקֹּתָיו֩ וְכָל צורתי צ֨וּרֹתָ֤יו וְכָל תורתו תּוֹרֹתָיו֙ הוֹדַ֣ע אוֹתָ֔ם וּכְתֹ֖ב לְעֵֽינֵיהֶ֑ם וְיִשְׁמְר֞וּ אֶת כָּל צוּרָת֛וֹ וְאֶת כָּל חֻקֹּתָ֖יו וְעָשׂ֥וּ אוֹתָֽם

And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shew them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them.

זֹ֖את תּוֹרַ֣ת הַבָּ֑יִת עַל רֹ֣אשׁ הָ֠הָר כָּל גְּבֻל֞וֹ סָבִ֤יב סָבִיב֙ קֹ֣דֶשׁ קָדָשִׁ֔ים הִנֵּה זֹ֖את תּוֹרַ֥ת הַבָּֽיִת

This the law of the house; Upon the top of the mountain the whole limit thereof round about most holy. Behold, this the law of the house.

וְאֵ֨לֶּה מִדּ֤וֹת הַמִּזְבֵּ֨חַ֙ בָּֽאַמּ֔וֹת אַמָּ֥ה אַמָּ֖ה וָטֹ֑פַח וְחֵ֨יק הָאַמָּ֜ה וְאַמָּה רֹ֗חַב וּגְבוּלָ֨הּ אֶל שְׂפָתָ֤הּ סָבִיב֙ זֶ֣רֶת הָאֶחָ֔ד וְזֶ֖ה גַּ֥ב הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ

And these the measures of the altar after the cubits: The cubit a cubit and an hand breadth; even the bottom a cubit, and the breadth a cubit, and the border thereof by the edge thereof round about a span: and this the higher place of the altar.

וּמֵחֵ֨יק הָאָ֜רֶץ עַד הָעֲזָרָ֤ה הַתַּחְתּוֹנָה֙ שְׁתַּ֣יִם אַמּ֔וֹת וְרֹ֖חַב אַמָּ֣ה אֶחָ֑ת וּמֵהֳעֲזָרָ֨ה הַקְּטַנָּ֜ה עַד הָעֲזָרָ֤ה הַגְּדוֹלָה֙ אַרְבַּ֣ע אַמּ֔וֹת וְרֹ֖חַב הָאַמָּֽה

And from the bottom the ground to the lower settle two cubits, and the breadth one cubit; and from the lesser settle to the greater settle four cubits, and the breadth cubit.

וְהַֽהַרְאֵ֖ל אַרְבַּ֣ע אַמּ֑וֹת וּמֵהָאֲרִאֵ֣יל וּלְמַ֔עְלָה הַקְּרָנ֖וֹת אַרְבַּֽע

So the altar four cubits; and from the altar and upward four horns.

והאראיל וְהָאֲרִיאֵ֗ל שְׁתֵּ֤ים עֶשְׂרֵה֙ אֹ֔רֶךְ בִּשְׁתֵּ֥ים עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה רֹ֑חַב רָב֕וּעַ אֶ֖ל אַרְבַּ֥עַת רְבָעָֽיו

And the altar twelve long, twelve broad, square in the four squares thereof.

וְהָעֲזָרָ֞ה אַרְבַּ֧ע עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה אֹ֗רֶךְ בְּאַרְבַּ֤ע עֶשְׂרֵה֙ רֹ֔חַב אֶ֖ל אַרְבַּ֣עַת רְבָעֶ֑יהָ וְהַגְּבוּל סָבִ֨יב אוֹתָ֜הּ חֲצִ֣י הָאַמָּ֗ה וְהַֽחֵיק לָ֤הּ אַמָּה֙ סָבִ֔יב וּמַעֲלֹתֵ֖הוּ פְּנ֥וֹת קָדִֽים

And the settle fourteen long and fourteen broad in the four squares thereof; and the border about it half a cubit; and the bottom thereof a cubit about; and his stairs shall look toward the east.

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֗י בֶּן אָדָם֙ כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה אֵ֚לֶּה חֻקּ֣וֹת הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ בְּי֖וֹם הֵעָֽשׂוֹת֑וֹ לְהַעֲל֤וֹת עָלָיו֙ עוֹלָ֔ה וְלִזְרֹ֥ק עָלָ֖יו דָּֽם

And he said to me, Son of man, thus says YHWH YHWH; These the ordinances of the altar in the day when they shall make it, to offer burnt offerings thereon, and to sprinkle blood thereon.

וְנָתַתָּ֣ה אֶל הַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים הַלְוִיִּ֡ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר הֵם֩ מִזֶּ֨רַע צָד֜וֹק הַקְּרֹבִ֣ים אֵלַ֗י נְאֻ֛ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִ֖ה לְשָֽׁרְתֵ֑נִי פַּ֥ר בֶּן בָּקָ֖ר לְחַטָּֽאת

And you shall give to the priests the Levites that be of the seed of Zadok, which approach to me, to minister to me, says YHWH YHWH, a young bullock for a sin offering.

וְלָקַחְתָּ֣ מִדָּמ֗וֹ וְנָ֨תַתָּ֜ה עַל אַרְבַּ֤ע קַרְנֹתָיו֙ וְאֶל אַרְבַּע֙ פִּנּ֣וֹת הָעֲזָרָ֔ה וְאֶֽל הַגְּב֖וּל סָבִ֑יב וְחִטֵּאתָ֥ אוֹת֖וֹ וְכִפַּרְתָּֽהוּ

And you shall take of the blood thereof, and put on the four horns of it, and on the four corners of the settle, and upon the border round about: thus shall you cleanse and purge it.

וְלָ֣קַחְתָּ֔ אֵ֖ת הַפָּ֣ר הַֽחַטָּ֑את וּשְׂרָפוֹ֙ בְּמִפְקַ֣ד הַבַּ֔יִת מִח֖וּץ לַמִּקְדָּֽשׁ

You shall take the bullock also of the sin offering, and he shall burn it in the appointed place of the house, without the sanctuary.

וּבַיּוֹם֙ הַשֵּׁנִ֔י תַּקְרִ֛יב שְׂעִיר עִזִּ֥ים תָּמִ֖ים לְחַטָּ֑את וְחִטְּאוּ֙ אֶת הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר חִטְּא֖וּ בַּפָּֽר

And on the second day you shall offer a kid of the goats without blemish for a sin offering; and they shall cleanse the altar, as they did cleanse with the bullock.

בְּכַלּוֹתְךָ֖ מֵֽחַטֵּ֑א תַּקְרִיב֙ פַּ֣ר בֶּן בָּקָ֣ר תָּמִ֔ים וְאַ֥יִל מִן הַצֹּ֖אן תָּמִֽים

When you have made an end of cleansing , you shall offer a young bullock without blemish, and a ram out of the flock without blemish.

וְהִקְרַבְתָּ֖ם לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וְהִשְׁלִ֨יכוּ הַכֹּהֲנִ֤ים עֲלֵיהֶם֙ מֶ֔לַח וְהֶעֱל֥וּ אוֹתָ֛ם עֹלָ֖ה לַֽיהוָֽה

And you shall offer them before YHWH, and the priests shall cast salt upon them, and they shall offer them up a burnt offering to YHWH.

שִׁבְעַ֣ת יָמִ֔ים תַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה שְׂעִיר חַטָּ֖את לַיּ֑וֹם וּפַ֧ר בֶּן בָּקָ֛ר וְאַ֥יִל מִן הַצֹּ֖אן תְּמִימִ֥ים יַעֲשֽׂוּ

Seven days shall you prepare every day a goat a sin offering: they shall also prepare a young bullock, and a ram out of the flock, without blemish.

שִׁבְעַ֣ת יָמִ֗ים יְכַפְּרוּ֙ אֶת הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ וְטִֽהֲר֖וּ אֹת֑וֹ וּמִלְא֖וּ ידו יָדָֽיו

Seven days shall they purge the altar and purify it; and they shall consecrate themselves.

וִֽיכַלּ֖וּ אֶת הַיָּמִ֑ים וְהָיָה֩ בַיּ֨וֹם הַשְּׁמִינִ֜י וָהָ֗לְאָה יַעֲשׂ֨וּ הַכֹּהֲנִ֤ים עַל הַמִּזְבֵּ֨חַ֙ אֶת עוֹלֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙ וְאֶת שַׁלְמֵיכֶ֔ם וְרָצִ֣אתִי אֶתְכֶ֔ם נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהֹוִֽה

And when these days are expired, it shall be, upon the eighth day, and forward, the priests shall make your burnt offerings upon the altar, and your peace offerings; and I will accept you, says YHWH YHWH.
