וַתִּשָּׂ֨א אֹתִ֜י ר֗וּחַ וַתָּבֵ֣א אֹ֠תִי אֶל שַׁ֨עַר בֵּית יְהוָ֤ה הַקַּדְמוֹנִי֙ הַפּוֹנֶ֣ה קָדִ֔ימָה וְהִנֵּה֙ בְּפֶ֣תַח הַשַּׁ֔עַר עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וַחֲמִשָּׁ֖ה אִ֑ישׁ וָאֶרְאֶ֨ה בְתוֹכָ֜ם אֶת יַאֲזַנְיָ֧ה בֶן עַזֻּ֛ר וְאֶת פְּלַטְיָ֥הוּ בֶן בְּנָיָ֖הוּ שָׂרֵ֖י הָעָֽם

Moreover the spirit lifted me up, and brought me to the east gate of YHWH's house, which looketh eastward: and behold at the door of the gate five and twenty men; among whom I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.

וַיֹּ֖אמֶר אֵלָ֑י בֶּן אָדָ֕ם אֵ֣לֶּה הָאֲנָשִׁ֞ים הַחֹשְׁבִ֥ים אָ֛וֶן וְהַיֹּעֲצִ֥ים עֲצַת רָ֖ע בָּעִ֥יר הַזֹּֽאת

Then said he to me, Son of man, these the men that devise mischief, and give wicked counsel in this city:

הָאֹ֣מְרִ֔ים לֹ֥א בְקָר֖וֹב בְּנ֣וֹת בָּתִּ֑ים הִ֣יא הַסִּ֔יר וַאֲנַ֖חְנוּ הַבָּשָֽׂר

Which say, not near; let us build houses: this the caldron, and we the flesh.

לָכֵ֖ן הִנָּבֵ֣א עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם הִנָּבֵ֖א בֶּן אָדָֽם

Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man.

וַתִּפֹּ֣ל עָלַי֮ ר֣וּחַ יְהוָה֒ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֗י אֱמֹר֙ כֹּה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה כֵּ֥ן אֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וּמַעֲל֥וֹת רֽוּחֲכֶ֖ם אֲנִ֥י יְדַעְתִּֽיהָ

And the Spirit of YHWH fell upon me, and said to me, Speak; Thus says YHWH; Thus have you said, O house of Israel: for I know the things that come into your mind, them.

הִרְבֵּיתֶ֥ם חַלְלֵיכֶ֖ם בָּעִ֣יר הַזֹּ֑את וּמִלֵּאתֶ֥ם חוּצֹתֶ֖יהָ חָלָֽל

You have multiplied your slain in this city, and you have filled the streets thereof with the slain.

לָכֵ֗ן כֹּֽה אָמַר֮ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִה֒ חַלְלֵיכֶם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר שַׂמְתֶּ֣ם בְּתוֹכָ֔הּ הֵ֥מָּה הַבָּשָׂ֖ר וְהִ֣יא הַסִּ֑יר וְאֶתְכֶ֖ם הוֹצִ֥יא מִתּוֹכָֽהּ

Therefore thus says YHWH YHWH; Your slain whom you have laid in the midst of it, they the flesh, and this the caldron: but I will bring you forth out of the midst of it.

חֶ֖רֶב יְרֵאתֶ֑ם וְחֶ֨רֶב֙ אָבִ֣יא עֲלֵיכֶ֔ם נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה

You have feared the sword; and I will bring a sword upon you, says YHWH YHWH.

וְהוֹצֵאתִ֤י אֶתְכֶם֙ מִתּוֹכָ֔הּ וְנָתַתִּ֥י אֶתְכֶ֖ם בְּיַד זָרִ֑ים וְעָשִׂ֛יתִי בָכֶ֖ם שְׁפָטִֽים

And I will bring you out of the midst thereof, and deliver you into the hands of strangers, and will execute judgments among you.

בַּחֶ֣רֶב תִּפֹּ֔לוּ עַל גְּב֥וּל יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל אֶשְׁפּ֣וֹט אֶתְכֶ֑ם וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם כִּֽי אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה

You shall fall by the sword; I will judge you in the border of Israel; and you shall know that I YHWH.

הִ֗יא לֹֽא תִהְיֶ֤ה לָכֶם֙ לְסִ֔יר וְאַתֶּ֛ם תִּהְי֥וּ בְתוֹכָ֖הּ לְבָשָׂ֑ר אֶל גְּב֥וּל יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל אֶשְׁפֹּ֥ט אֶתְכֶֽם

This shall not be your caldron, neither shall you be the flesh in the midst thereof; I will judge you in the border of Israel:

וִֽידַעְתֶּם֙ כִּֽי אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֤ר בְּחֻקַּי֙ לֹ֣א הֲלַכְתֶּ֔ם וּמִשְׁפָּטַ֖י לֹ֣א עֲשִׂיתֶ֑ם וּֽכְמִשְׁפְּטֵ֧י הַגּוֹיִ֛ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר סְבִיבוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם עֲשִׂיתֶֽם

And you shall know that I YHWH: for you have not walked in my statutes, neither executed my judgments, but have done after the manners of the heathen that round about you.

וַֽיְהִי֙ כְּהִנָּ֣בְאִ֔י וּפְלַטְיָ֥הוּ בֶן בְּנָיָ֖ה מֵ֑ת וָאֶפֹּ֨ל עַל פָּנַ֜י וָאֶזְעַ֣ק קוֹל גָּד֗וֹל וָאֹמַר֙ אֲהָהּ֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה כָּלָה֙ אַתָּ֣ה עֹשֶׂ֔ה אֵ֖ת שְׁאֵרִ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל

And it came to pass, when I prophesied, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then fell I down upon my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah Lord YHWH! will you make a full end of the remnant of Israel?

וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר

Again the word of YHWH came to me, saying,

בֶּן אָדָ֗ם אַחֶ֤יךָ אַחֶ֨יךָ֙ אַנְשֵׁ֣י גְאֻלָּתֶ֔ךָ וְכָל בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל כֻּלֹּ֑ה אֲשֶׁר֩ אָמְר֨וּ לָהֶ֜ם יֹשְׁבֵ֣י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם רַֽחֲקוּ֙ מֵעַ֣ל יְהוָ֔ה לָ֥נוּ הִ֛יא נִתְּנָ֥ה הָאָ֖רֶץ לְמוֹרָשָֽׁה

Son of man, your brethren, your brethren, the men of your kindred, and all the house of Israel wholly, they to whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Get you far from YHWH: to us is this land given in possession.

לָכֵ֣ן אֱמֹ֗ר כֹּֽה אָמַר֮ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִה֒ כִּ֤י הִרְחַקְתִּים֙ בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם וְכִ֥י הֲפִֽיצוֹתִ֖ים בָּאֲרָצ֑וֹת וָאֱהִ֤י לָהֶם֙ לְמִקְדָּ֣שׁ מְעַ֔ט בָּאֲרָצ֖וֹת אֲשֶׁר בָּ֥אוּ שָֽׁם

Therefore say, Thus says YHWH YHWH; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.

לָכֵ֣ן אֱמֹ֗ר כֹּֽה אָמַר֮ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִה֒ וְקִבַּצְתִּ֤י אֶתְכֶם֙ מִן הָ֣עַמִּ֔ים וְאָסַפְתִּ֣י אֶתְכֶ֔ם מִן הָ֣אֲרָצ֔וֹת אֲשֶׁ֥ר נְפֹצוֹתֶ֖ם בָּהֶ֑ם וְנָתַתִּ֥י לָכֶ֖ם אֶת אַדְמַ֥ת יִשְׂרָאֵֽל

Therefore say, Thus says YHWH YHWH; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.

וּבָ֖אוּ שָׁ֑מָּה וְהֵסִ֜ירוּ אֶת כָּל שִׁקּוּצֶ֛יהָ וְאֶת כָּל תּוֹעֲבוֹתֶ֖יהָ מִמֶּֽנָּה

And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence.

וְנָתַתִּ֤י לָהֶם֙ לֵ֣ב אֶחָ֔ד וְר֥וּחַ חֲדָשָׁ֖ה אֶתֵּ֣ן בְּקִרְבְּכֶ֑ם וַהֲסִ֨רֹתִ֜י לֵ֤ב הָאֶ֨בֶן֙ מִבְּשָׂרָ֔ם וְנָתַתִּ֥י לָהֶ֖ם לֵ֥ב בָּשָֽׂר

And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:

לְמַ֨עַן֙ בְּחֻקֹּתַ֣י יֵלֵ֔כוּ וְאֶת מִשְׁפָּטַ֥י יִשְׁמְר֖וּ וְעָשׂ֣וּ אֹתָ֑ם וְהָיוּ לִ֣י לְעָ֔ם וַאֲנִ֕י אֶהְיֶ֥ה לָהֶ֖ם לֵאלֹהִֽים

That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

וְאֶל לֵ֧ב שִׁקּוּצֵיהֶ֛ם וְתוֹעֲבוֹתֵיהֶ֖ם לִבָּ֣ם הֹלֵ֑ךְ דַּרְכָּם֙ בְּרֹאשָׁ֣ם נָתַ֔תִּי נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה

But whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their own heads, says YHWH YHWH.

וַיִּשְׂא֤וּ הַכְּרוּבִים֙ אֶת כַּנְפֵיהֶ֔ם וְהָאֽוֹפַנִּ֖ים לְעֻמָּתָ֑ם וּכְב֧וֹד אֱלֹהֵֽי יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם מִלְמָֽעְלָה

Then did the cherubims lift up their wings, and the wheels beside them; and the glory of the God of Israel over them above.

וַיַּ֨עַל֙ כְּב֣וֹד יְהוָ֔ה מֵעַ֖ל תּ֣וֹךְ הָעִ֑יר וַֽיַּעֲמֹד֙ עַל הָהָ֔ר אֲשֶׁ֖ר מִקֶּ֥דֶם לָעִֽיר

And the glory of YHWH went up from the midst of the city, and stood upon the mountain which on the east side of the city.

וְר֣וּחַ נְשָׂאַ֗תְנִי וַתְּבִיאֵ֤נִי כַשְׂדִּ֨ימָה֙ אֶל הַגּוֹלָ֔ה בַּמַּרְאֶ֖ה בְּר֣וּחַ אֱלֹהִ֑ים וַיַּ֨עַל֙ מֵֽעָלַ֔י הַמַּרְאֶ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר רָאִֽיתִי

Afterwards the spirit took me up, and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.

וָאֲדַבֵּ֖ר אֶל הַגּוֹלָ֑ה אֵ֛ת כָּל דִּבְרֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר הֶרְאָֽנִי

Then I spake to them of the captivity all the things that YHWH had shewed me.
