Theme

Psalms 118 (29 verses in the MT) opens: O give thanks to YHWH; for good: because his mercy for ever. The middle of the chapter continues: The voice of rejoicing and salvation in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of YHWH doeth valiantly. It closes: O give thanks to YHWH; for good: for his mercy for ever.

This the day YHWH has made; we will. Movement V (vv. 25-29) — Save now, I beseech you, O YHWH: O YHWH, I beseech you, send now prosper. Save now, I beseech you, O YHWH: O YHWH, I beseech you, send now prosperity. Blessed he that cometh in the name of YHWH: we have blessed you out of the house of YHWH.
