Jonah

Jonah 1 — יונה 1

Theme. Jonah 1 (16 verses in the MT) opens: Now the word of YHWH came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, The middle of the chapter continues: And he said to them, I an Hebrew; and I fear YHWH, the God of heaven, which has made the sea and the dry .
